Payments & Receipting

Any funds received are remitted on the 20th day of each month to ensure that donations are making a direct and immediate impact. Special consideration may be given to support urgent appeals or to better align with an organisation's operations.

Allowing Impact to receive and receipt donations, helps to provide greater accountability to donors as well as streamlining reporting processes. We manage the admin and receipting associated with collecting donations and meeting IRD obligations.

Registration Requirements

All charities must be registered with Charities Services in New Zealand.

The activities for the donation must be consistent with the charitable purpose outlined in the trust deed or governing documents.

The nominated bank account for receiving funds must be in the name of the charity/organisation.

All organisations must be approved for donee status by the Inland Revenue Department.

For any organisation working with children or vulnerable populations, a comprehensive policy is needed detailing specific procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Two signatories to a Donation Declaration Form to ensure transparency in the donation process. This is included as part of a Memorandum of Understanding outlining how both parties agree to work together.

Additional Requirements for Schools

Supporting evidence may be needed to show that there is a need for the project and that it sits outside of normal operational funding.

A signed resolution confirming that the board of trustees endorses the application to be listed on Impact. â€‹

Registration Process

We aim to complete registration within 10 business days, providing we have all of the necessary information from the charity.

Our registration process consists of three stages:

Online Registration

Organisations are asked to provide their registration details and contact information. Our team will then verify the organisation and begin working to create a charity listing.

Charity Listing

Once verified, we will begin creating a detailed listing, along with organising your donation products.

For organisations using our Impact Amplify package, you can provide up to 3 itemised donations ranging from $10 to $250 NZD. Subscriptions can also be linked to theses donations to allow for regular contributions. â€‹Note: Tangible subscriptions will only apply to donations less than $75 NZD.

Memorandum of Understanding

Through a memorandum of understanding we will finalise the collaboration terms, ensuring both parties are aligned on how to work together.

All charity listings are subject to approval by the Impact Aotearoa Charitable Trust Board. Approval is based on a thorough evaluation to ensure alignment with our mission, values, and regulatory requirements. The Board reserves the right to review, approve, or deny any charity listing at its sole discretion.
